TAUPO FISHING CLUB BI-MONTHLY WEIGH-IN

The change from monthly weigh-ins to bi-monthly fishing events started in July 2016 and we had a good turnout at both the July, September, November and February weigh-ins – thanks to all who joined us.

There is a $50 voucher for the heaviest fish weighed in and another $50 voucher for the fish with the best condition factor. One fish cannot be eligible for both prizes and the condition factor takes preference, so if you have a really good fish it will only take out the condition factor prize and the heaviest fish prize will then go to the next heaviest fish.

All club events, including salt water events, will allow you to earn points that count towards the club points trophy awarded at our annual prize giving so don’t miss out.

BI-MONTHLY WEIGH-IN RULES:

The event is open to members only.

You must register for each event by Friday evening prior to the weigh-in. Registration is at the clubhouse on Friday from 5.30 pm and costs $5 per angler. The cost allows for one junior to fish with one paying adult. Registration can also be made Taupo Rod & Tackle with Matt.

All entrants must hold a valid Taupo Fishing Licence and you must show your licence at registration. You may only fish in the Taupo Fishing area and abide by these rules.

Fishing commences at 5.00 am on Saturday. You may weigh-in fish at Taupo Rod and Tackle on the Saturday and at the clubrooms on the Sunday between 3.30 pm and 4.30pm.

Each angler may weigh in 1 (one) fish per day.

Those who wish to enter on a catch and release method are to supply a photograph of the fish on digital scales for weight competition and also a photo with a measure of length for condition factor.

Prize giving will be on completion of weigh in at approx. 4.30 pm.

A points system was agreed:
